Custom printed tape is standard-width adhesive tape, typically 50mm, printed with your logo, brand name, web address, a promotional message or any design you choose. It seals boxes and cartons the same way as plain tape, but every parcel becomes a branded touchpoint.

Vinyl (PVC) or Polypropylene (BOPP)?
Two base materials. Both take a sharp print. The difference is in the application.
Polypropylene (BOPP) is the standard choice for carton sealing. It is the same material as most plain brown tape. Clear or white base film, strong acrylic adhesive, works on standard tape guns. Good print clarity with up to 3 colours. The right choice for most e-commerce, retail and warehouse applications.
Vinyl (PVC) is thicker and more conformable. It stretches slightly to seal awkward surfaces and irregular shapes. Better cold-temperature performance. Used on irregular cartons, chilled and frozen goods, and wherever BOPP does not conform cleanly. Also common where a premium unboxing feel matters — vinyl has a more substantial hand.

Our Printing Process
We print using flexographic printing at our Preston facility. Flexo uses flexible relief plates and fast-drying inks to produce sharp, consistent results at volume.
Every job starts with a free artwork check. Send us your logo or design and we confirm it is print-ready and advise on any adjustments needed. No charge for this; it is part of the service.
You then receive a digital proof showing exactly how the tape will look. We do not start printing until you have approved it in writing. Once signed off, we manufacture, quality-check and dispatch.
Pricing and Volumes
Custom printed tape is priced per roll and the per-roll cost reduces with volume. A 36-roll order is the minimum; most regular customers order 144 rolls or more per run to maximise value.

Artwork Guidance
For the best print result:
- Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) produce the sharpest output
- Minimum line weight 0.5pt
- Minimum text size 6pt
- Pantone references preferred for colour matching
- Allow a 3mm bleed where design runs to tape edge
